Starting from a small everyday problem
This was one of my early hardware prototypes. It could open and close automatically with sensors, and it explored using a humidity sensor to distinguish wet waste from dry waste.
Looking back, the project was simple, but it was the first time I clearly felt that technology could turn a small, repeated, and easily ignored everyday problem into a system that can be observed and improved.
Helping memories become organized naturally
Guangzong is an AI project about memory and narrative. I imagine it helping elderly people recall life experiences through natural conversation, then gradually organizing scattered stories into text that can be saved, revisited, and shared.
It is not only about how AI answers questions, but about how AI can accompany someone as they return to their own memories.
Helping people build their own thinking process
RAISON is a learning and thinking system I am currently designing. It does not aim to replace human judgment. Instead, it helps users organize materials, discover connections, ask better questions, and gradually build their own path of understanding.
If the smart trash bin dealt with everyday information, and Guangzong dealt with life memories, RAISON is closer to my imagination of future tools: helping people understand information more clearly, and understand themselves more clearly too.
